Introducing Him

I remember the first time I saw him. Rucha and I were waiting for him outside our college because our Professor had asked us to team up for our annual exhibition. When we saw him walking toward us, the first thought that came to our minds was, “Oh God! Not this guy!!” The lanky figure, dark complexion, big & strong eyes, and long wavy hair.

When we started working together, he would hardly talk. He would just sit back and observe me and my friends work. Back then when I would notice him looking at us with a whimsical smile on his face, I never had imagined that one day I’d be such great friends with him. But the more we worked together, the more comfortable we got with each other. By the time we were done with the exhibition he was officially “ours”. From that day on we have always stuck together, through everything. And for some odd reason, we’ve always shared a special bond. Something that neither of us shared with the rest of the gang. I never knew the reason behind it & neither did I think it necessary to find out why.

But I loved and enjoyed the special place I held in his life. I adored the fact that I was so important to someone. That my thoughts, presence, happiness, and well-being mattered so much to someone.

It took us a sum total of 6 years to realize why we mattered so much to each other. But ever since then, we’ve never looked back. All we’ve done is held each other's hand and never let it go! So here’s introducing “Him”. You’ll be seeing him a lot more from now on.

Reason? Because I chose to call him “MINE”!
